My name is Manon van Rooijen

Hi! I am Manon van Rooijen from Berkel en Rodenrijs, the Netherlands.

Currently I am employed as Enterprise and Innovation Architect at AVR - Energy from Waste, where I am responsible for maturing the Enterprise Architecture practice, introducing interface management, and am responsible for integrating the application and information portfolios after the merger between AVR and AEB Amsterdam.

As an architect I serve as the connection between the organizations strategic goals, the business needs and the IT solutions that can facilitate the necessary change.
Although I am certified in TOGAF and familiar with other frameworks like NORA, DYA and SOA, I am a firm believer of using aspects from multiple frameworks to suit the organizations needs. Architecture models, depending on the audience, are made in ArchiMate and BPMN and presented using PowerPoint.

I have a strong background in business process analysis including but not limited to processes belonging in Industrial automation (Industry 4.0/ IOT), Waste Management, Cyber security, Interface Management, Procurement, IT-Service Management and Quality Management. For process integration and automation, I have used a variety of programming and scripting languages (Java C#, Python, XML, REST, SOAP) to reduce human error.

I use Business Intelligence and Business Analytics solutions (Kafka, Elastic, Kibana SQL Report builder, R and SPSS) to objectively measure the results of implemented changes.

My skills have been acquired during projects where I have taken a variety of roles like Enterprise Architect, Business Architect, Business Analyst, Solution Architect and Technical Specialist.

I have a Masters degree in Business Process Management and IT from the Open University where my thesis was "Interaction patterns as a characteristic of dynamics in Networked Organizations and its effect on Business and IT alignment"
